To help you plan your stay with complete peace of mind, we’ve put together the most important questions and answers for you here. This way, you can find all the relevant information about getting here, facilities and services at a glance.
Double rooms are available from 2 pm, and apartments from 3 pm. If you are arriving after 6 pm, please let us know in advance. Please check out by 11 am.
Don’t feel like going out? In the lounge, you’ll find a cosy seating area with cable TV, a drinks fridge, a coffee machine, a kettle, crockery, cutlery and glasses. The drinks fridge is stocked with soft drinks and alcoholic drinks from the region. Of course, apartment guests are also welcome to use the lounge and the drinks fridge. Please note: everyone must record the drinks they take from the fridge on the list provided in their room or flat and pay for them on departure. Thank you for your honesty!
Do you have your own food that needs to be kept cool? There’s a fridge for shared use in the kitchenette.
Apartments 1 to 5 in the building on the Moselle Promenade are accessible by lift. There is no lift in the building on Oberer Weg, which houses the rooms, Studio 104 and Apartments 102 and 204.
For a one-off cleaning fee of 4.00 euros per item, you’re welcome to hire a cosy bathrobe from us.
Please let us know your arrival time at Cochem railway station at least two days before you arrive, and we’ll be happy to collect you from outside the station from 2 pm onwards. Is your train delayed? No problem – just give us a call. Please understand that we cannot wait for long periods or make multiple trips to the station.
To ensure your stay ends on a relaxed note, we’ll of course take you back to the station on the day of your departure.
The platforms at Cochem station are accessible by lift.
Do you suffer from allergies or have a specific preference when it comes to pillows? Just let us know before you arrive. We’ll prepare your bed according to your preferences.
Start your day with deliciously fragrant baked goods, which we’ll hang on the door handle of your flat by 8 am. We accept orders until 6 pm the day before:

Have you brought your bikes with you? You’ll find our lockable bike storage room right opposite the Moselle Cycle Route. There, you can also charge the batteries of your e-bikes. Would you like to hire bikes? Schrauth bike hire is about 100 metres away. You’ll find other bike shops in Cochem town centre.
Our generous breakfast includes regional produce such as fresh cold cuts from the Noss butcher’s in Cochem, honey from a local beekeeper, mustard from the historic mustard mill, organic eggs from the Eifel and homemade jam. Whether you prefer boiled, scrambled or fried eggs, everything is freshly prepared to your liking. Do you have a food allergy? No problem – just let us know before you arrive. We’ll make sure we have the right food on hand.
Breakfast is already included in the price for all rooms and the studio. Our apartment guests can also book breakfast as an extra until 6 pm the day before, if they wish: €19 per person per day for guests aged 12 and over, and €14 per person per day for children aged 2 to 11.

Unfortunately, we do not generally allow pets at Haus Erholung.
Are you travelling by motorbike? Of course, there’s a free parking space available for you on ‘Oberer Weg’, or – if you’d prefer a more sheltered spot – a space in our locked garage.
Are you travelling by car? There are always plenty of free spaces available in our car parks on ‘Oberer Weg’. Simply enter ‘Oberer Weg 18’ as the address in your sat-nav.
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor areas of the buildings or on the terrace during breakfast. Smoking is permitted on the balconies of the rooms and apartments. Please be considerate of non-smoking guests. Thank you very much!
You can pay your bill in cash, by debit card, Visa or Mastercard. Do you need an invoice for your company? No problem – just let us know your company’s address for the invoice.
Final cleaning is included in the price for the apartments. If you’re staying for longer than 10 days, we’ll carry out a mid-stay clean about halfway through your stay. Please note that our cleaning staff only work until midday. A mid-stay clean in the afternoon is therefore not possible.
Do you need fresh tea towels, bath towels or more toilet paper? You can help yourself to these as and when you need them in the swimming pool area.
Daily room cleaning is included in the price for double rooms. Please hang the green sign on the outside of your room door in the morning. If you would only like the ‘light service’ – which includes fresh towels, extra toilet paper and emptying the bins – please hang up the blue sign. If you do not want us to enter your room, simply use the red sign. Please note that our cleaning staff only work until midday. Unfortunately, this means that room cleaning in the afternoon is not possible.
The swimming pool measures approximately 5 m by 9 m. The water temperature is a refreshing 27 degrees. The swimming pool is open from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm. Bath towels and shampoo/shower gel are available in the pool area.
Has an emergency come up and you’re unable to travel after all? Cancellations made up to 14 days before your arrival date are free of charge. For cancellations made within 14 days of arrival, as well as in the event of a no-show or early departure, 80 per cent of the price will be charged for the cancelled days.
If you book directly with us, you can benefit from our special service. Do you need to cancel at very short notice? We’ll do our best to re-let the room or flat to minimise the cancellation costs.
To ensure you have complete peace of mind, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
For yourself or as a gift. We’d be happy to recommend a bottle of wine or sparkling wine from the Edgar Comes Winery in Klotten. Try a bottle from our drinks fridge or take some home at the winemaker’s price.
During the winter season, from mid-November to mid-March, the guesthouse – including the double rooms and the swimming pool – is closed. During this period, you can book our apartments at a particularly affordable rate from 90,- EUR per night, excluding breakfast and use of the swimming pool. We’d also be happy to provide you with a personalised quote. Just give us a call!
All prices quoted include VAT at the statutory rate. You can pay us conveniently in cash, or by EC, VISA or MasterCard.
