Guesthouse on the Moselle Promenade
Situated right on the Moselle Promenade, our Apartments 1 to 5 await you here, and you can reach them easily by lift. This building also houses our reception, as well as the breakfast room with its adjoining terrace. On sunny days, it’s a particularly lovely place to start your day.
For our cycling guests, there’s also a lockable bike storage room with charging facilities for e-bikes. Just cross the road – and your ride along the Moselle Cycle Route can begin.
As a guest at the guesthouse on the Moselle Promenade, you can of course also make use of the facilities at the ‘Oberer Weg’ guesthouse – from the swimming pool with fitness equipment to the lounge with its drinks fridge.
“Oberer Weg” Guest House
Just a few steps from the Moselle, directly behind the guest house on the Moselle promenade, you’ll find a peaceful spot with views of Cochem’s Reichsburg Castle. Here, you can choose to stay in one of our cosy double rooms, in the “Apollofalter” studio, or in one of the two modern apartments, “Weinschwärmer” and “Bläuling”.
The guesthouse also features an indoor swimming pool with fitness equipment, an inviting lounge with a drinks fridge, and our conservatory with an adjoining sun terrace – ideal for relaxing, reading or spending cosy moments with other guests.
As a guest at the ‘Oberer Weg’ guesthouse, you’ll of course also have access to the facilities at the guesthouse on the Moselle promenade – from the breakfast room with its stunning view of the river to the bike storage room right next to the Moselle Cycle Route.
Our Apartments
Our modern holiday apartments offer space for up to four people, ranging from 43 to 56 m². Apartments 1 to 5 are easily accessible by lift. From the balconies of apartments 1, 3 and 5, you can enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the Moselle, whilst the balconies of apartments 102 and 204 offer magnificent views of Cochem Castle.
Apartment 3 “Brauselay”
56 m² | up to 2 people
Named after the Brauselay rock opposite, this apartment offers plenty of space across 56 m². From the balcony, you’ll be treated to an impressive view of the river valley, and on the second balcony you can soak up the sun and enjoy the peace and quiet of the “Oberer Weg”. Simply stunning.
Apartment 5 “Mauerbiene”
50 m² | up to 4 people
Renovated in 2020, our Apartment 5 impresses with its modern and cosy décor. The 50 m² of space is divided into a living room, separate kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Whatever the weather, enjoy the sweeping views of the Moselle Valley from the large loggia. Simply wonderful.
Apartment 102 “Weinschwärmer”
50 m² | up to 4 people
Our “Weinschwärmer” apartment, built in 2020, is situated on the first floor of the guest house on “Oberer Weg”. From here, it’s just a short walk to the indoor swimming pool. Look forward to a large, sunny balcony with a magnificent view of the castle. The balcony is partially covered, so you can enjoy the fresh air from the adjacent woodland whatever the weather. Just take a deep breath.
Apartment 204 “Bläuling”
43 m² | up to 3 people
Our “Bläuling” apartment, built in 2022, is situated on the 2nd floor of the guest house on “Oberer Weg”. This modern and bright apartment enjoys a particularly peaceful location. From the kitchen-diner and the adjoining balcony, you can enjoy views of the castle, whilst the second balcony, overlooking the garden, offers a chance to take in the natural surroundings. Simply blissful.
Our Rooms
At the “Oberer Weg” guesthouse, you’ll enjoy a peaceful stay in one of our cosily furnished guest rooms. Here, you can walk to the swimming pool from the comfort of the guesthouse. All rooms feature an en-suite shower room, cable TV and a balcony. Our generous health-conscious breakfast and daily room cleaning are included in the room rate.
Double room

The double rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the ‘Oberer Weg’ guesthouse (no lift). From here, you can easily walk to the swimming pool within the building. The bright rooms are functionally furnished, and from the balcony you have a magnificent view of Cochem Castle.
Double Room No. 101

Our refurbished double room is located on the first floor of the ‘Oberer Weg’ guesthouse. It’s just a short walk from here to the indoor swimming pool. The light-coloured furniture and a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower offer modern comforts. From the balcony, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Cochem Castle.
Double Room No. 8
approx. 27 m² | up to 2 people
On the 3rd floor (no lift) of the “Oberer Weg” guesthouse, you’ll find our particularly peaceful and cosy “nest”. It comprises a small living area with a sofa and cable TV, as well as a small bedroom with a second cable TV. From the roof terrace, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Reichsburg in complete tranquillity.
Studio “Apollofalter”
approx. 34 m² | up to 4 people
The refurbished two-room “Apollofalter” studio is located on the first floor (no lift). It’s just a short walk to the swimming pool from here. The living area opens directly onto the garden terrace, and the bedroom also has a balcony overlooking the greenery. With its two rooms and kitchenette, the studio offers more space and comfort.
